Foreign exchange sales by exporters rose to $23.7 billion, but major players reduced supply In September, Russian exporters increased foreign exchange sales by $4.9 billion, to $23.7 billion. At the same time, non-financial companies increased purchases to $17.3 billion, absorbing a significant portion of the additional supply. At the same time, the largest exporters, whose activities are monitored by the Bank of Russia, reduced sales to $2.1 billion - the least since 2022. The growth in total supply was ensured by other market participants. In October, the supply of foreign exchange may increase against the background of the quarterly tax payments. Their volume is estimated at about 1 trillion rubles, which may encourage exporters to actively sell more foreign currency for budget settlements. However, the final impact on the market will also depend on the demand from the companies.
