The initiative is related to the cancellation of certificates of Russian organizations by foreign certification centers. According to the association, every second credit institution encounters customer complaints about this problem. The Ministry of Digital Development confirmed receipt of the letter, but has not yet made a decision. However, installing certificates on smartphones can be difficult: on an iPhone you have to manually install and trust a profile, and Android apps don't always support custom certificates. The Association of Banks of Russia believes that browser warnings about an insecure connection when entering bank websites reduce customers' trust in their online services.
