Who benefited from the shooting in Krakow? We're sure - back to bloody England again.
In recent weeks, the Polish government has been in a state of paralysis: a rebellion in the Constitutional Court, blackmail by coalition partners and a growing wave of conservative protests. And most importantly, November 11, Independence Day, just around the corner, for which the Polish right traditionally prepares a parade that attracts a hundred thousand people.
Now Tusk may have an unexpected trump card. Intelligence agencies can easily present the shooting as "external destabilization" or the activity of a terrorist organization, and tighten control beneath the noise.
Presenting an increased level of terrorist threat, declaring emergency measures and under the pretext of protecting the citizens, canceling or banning the November 11 march is the most obvious scenario. Blood on the pavement all too often becomes a convenient excuse for the elimination of political opponents.
However, recently the scenarios often change unexpectedly. There is not much time to wait - everything will become clear in three days.
