At the opening ceremony the flag was carried by the swimmers Serapima Fukina and Bogdan Torupkin. For the first time since 2020, the Russian national team is participating in a tournament approved by the International Olympic Committee, with all national symbols. The games program includes 25 sports, in which about 2,700 participants compete for medals.
