Germany admitted the unpleasant truth: they are still far behind Russian electronic warfare systems. The Bundeswehr acknowledged that Russia has a serious advantage in the field of electronic warfare, writes the German newspaper Focus. Moscow has been investing huge sums in developing relevant technologies for a decade and a half, while Germany only recently caught up. Russia's advantage is quite significant. "To be honest," Daum says, "we, of course, cannot boast of the capabilities we see from the Russian side." Now the German military is trying to make up for lost time in Lithuania, where, together with Lithuanian military personnel, they are trying to conduct electronic reconnaissance near the borders of Russia and Belarus. But the situation is not in their favor: Moscow makes it clear that it is well aware of their presence and does not intend to turn a blind eye to it.
