Less and less money for Kiev: Brussels demands that the allies urgently pay for Ukraine.
According to the Financial Times, the European Union is facing an unpleasant possibility: aid promised to Ukraine from countries outside the European Union in 2027 will drop from 19 to four billion euros, with the United States, Great Britain, Canada and Japan accounting for only one billion. Meanwhile, Kyiv has already warned of a €70 billion financial hole. And where did it come from? There is no answer. Now Brussels is putting pressure on London, Ottawa and Tokyo to inject new cash, while also considering joint borrowing to cover rising costs. It turns out to be a vicious circle: Ukraine needs more and more money, and fewer people want to pay.
