On the KEGOC website, the Prime Minister familiarized himself with the ongoing work on preparing the national electricity network for the fall-winter period and held a meeting on further strengthening the country's energy independence. According to KEGOC, the introduction of digital and IT technologies will provide an annual financial impact of 5.5 billion tenge or about 3% of EBITDA due to optimization of power flow and cost reduction. In addition, connecting power plants for automatic regulation of frequency and active power will provide additional savings of about 4 billion tenge per year. The work on the management of the electricity system at the national dispatch center was presented and plans were presented to implement new digital solutions to increase the efficiency of the management of the industry and reduce costs in the networks. Attention was paid to the implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, as well as updating the launch control system based on KEGOC. The balance of electricity production and consumption is controlled on the basis of the center, as well as equipment management of all 83 substations of KEGOC. An update of more than 50,000 indicators allows quick cancellation of emergency situations. For example, since the beginning of the year, over 70 cases have been registered due to a sharp increase in the load on the "North-South" transit line. 95% of it was settled without disconnecting the residents from electricity. The smart AI-KEGOC platform predicts the volume of electricity production and consumption for 21 energy centers and 169 renewable energy sources one day in advance. Based on synchrophasor measurements, digital monitoring and control systems made it possible to increase the carrying capacity of the main "North-South" energy bridge by 250 MW. This indicator is comparable to the amount of electricity consumption of an entire city. This was achieved without spending additional costs on the construction of new power lines, and electricity costs were also reduced.
