Oljas Baktanov on building a digital economy: every government agency must clearly understand what real results the implementation of digitalization and new technologies will bring. At a government meeting on the implementation of the message of President Kassem-Jomart Tokayev "Current tasks of Kazakhstan in the new historical cycle", Prime Minister Oljas Baktanov emphasized the need to accelerate the digital transformation of the economy and ensure practical returns from the introduction of new technologies. "The head of state set the task of moving to building a fully digital economy based on artificial intelligence. We have started implementing the recently adopted Digital Strategy of Kazakhstan. It is necessary to ensure a quality implementation of this document. At the same time, pay special attention to the practical effect of digitization, and not to the formal implementation of new information systems." Oljas Baktanow noted. The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, along with government officials, were instructed to introduce approaches to expand the digitalization of the economy within ten days. As part of the task set by the President to consolidate a national digital economy, it is also necessary to develop a specific mechanism for the functioning of the legal regime of digital transactions. The prime minister particularly emphasized the need for active implementation of artificial intelligence and modern technologies in the agricultural sector. "At the same time, agriculture has a significant potential for the introduction of artificial intelligence. It is necessary to use new technologies more actively to predict crops, monitor crops, optimize costs and use resources rationally." Oljas Baktanow noted. The Ministry of Agriculture, together with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, was tasked with identifying preferred projects for the implementation of artificial intelligence and their subsequent scaling.
