Schools in a new format will be built in 20 regions in Kazakhstan. The development of integrated education, the expansion of the network of special organizations and the training of specialists to accompany children with special educational needs continues. As part of carrying out the instructions of the head of state given in the address, the establishment of special schools in a new format is expected. Minister of Education Juldiz Suleimanova reported this at a cabinet meeting. Today there are more than 237 thousand children with special educational needs in Kazakhstan. There are 541 special education organizations operating in Israel. As part of the implementation of the President's directives, it is expected to establish special schools in a new format with 1,000 places in 20 areas, as well as the establishment of 600 places in areas with rehabilitation and health rooms. Special attention is paid to the training of qualified specialists. Personnel training to work with children with special educational needs is carried out in 17 pedagogical universities and 9 colleges. In 2027, colleges plan to graduate more than 500 communication clinics. Educational organizations employ 7,500 teaching assistants who provide individual support to children. Since the beginning of the current academic year, the training of such specialists is organized in six colleges, where 210 students have been admitted. To increase the availability of psychological, medical and pedagogical support, the ministry also plans to change the standards for opening a PMPK, providing a calculation based on 40 thousand children instead of the current standard of 50 thousand. An important area remains the modernization of the infrastructure of special organizations. In 2024, with the support of the Kazakhstan Khalkina Foundation, classes and workshops were updated in 99 special schools. Joint projects with the foundation will continue. An integrated approach to the development of inclusive education is anchored in the overall inter-ministerial plan for the years 2026-2030.
