Targeted social support mechanisms are improving in Kazakhstan as part of implementing the instructions of the head of state, extensive work is being done in Kazakhstan to examine social policy and improve mechanisms for providing state support. The main emphasis is on an objective assessment of the economic situation of the families, so that state aid is given while taking into account the real needs of the citizens. In this context, the methodology for determining the social welfare of a family was improved, while providing changes in the approaches to the assessment of the income, property and liabilities of households. As indicated by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Eskarbek Artayev, while improving the methodology, certain evaluation criteria were amended. "In particular, the approaches to assessing income and credit obligations, including mortgage loans, have been changed. The availability and condition of cars and agricultural machinery are taken into account. At the same time, we completely excluded agricultural machinery older than 20 years. Individual entrepreneurship and the presence of a legal entity will not be taken into account. Also, we will not take into account the existence of small plots and plots belonging to individuals." the speaker noted. In addition, the costs of maintaining a family, loan obligations, as well as circumstances related to the presence of a single breadwinner and a single household must be taken into account. At the same time, an audit of 30 information systems of state bodies is carried out, and together with regional akims, the financial situation of the benefit recipients is verified. These measures are designed to increase the accuracy of the assessment of citizens' well-being and to ensure the targeting of government support.
