Kazakhstan will expand preferential financing for farmers and increase support for domestic agricultural machinery At a government meeting on the implementation of the message of the head of state to the people of Kazakhstan "The current tasks of Kazakhstan in the new historical cycle", Minister of Agriculture Ayderbek Sparov reported on steps taken to expand farmers' access to long-term preferential financing, support for livestock farming and increase the production of domestic tractors. In 2026, Bairak Holding will allocate 270 billion tenge for long-term loans. In addition, it is proposed to allocate 84 billion tenge to support livestock farming and 50 billion to budget loans through KazAgroFinance for the development of domestic agricultural machinery. "In order to provide farmers with long-term preferential financing, there is a principle of combining budgetary and commercial funds. This will increase long-term money availability and ensure timely funding even if there are insufficient funds in the cash control account. In this context, Bairak maintenance must continue to attract extra-budgetary funds through the cultural reimbursement mechanism for subsidies and direct subsidies," the minister noted. At the same time, an additional allocation of 37.5 billion tenge is being considered through KazAgroFinance, which will enable the raising of 200 billion tenge for preferential rental of agricultural machinery in 2027. It is also proposed to allocate an additional 50 billion tenge for the preferential purchase of farm animals as part of replicating the experience of the Northern Kazakhstan region.
