The price of natural gas in Europe exceeded 100 euros per megawatt hour for the first time since 2022. This price increase was caused by disruptions in the energy markets following the war between the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran. At the same time as the beginning of the cold season in Europe, the amount of gas reserves in this continent reached about 75%, while last year this amount was 83%. The gas storage tanks are still at their lowest level compared to this time of the year, a situation not seen since 2011.
