The speaker calls on international bodies to pursue Iran's rights for wartime aggression Tehran, Irana -. The Iranian government spokesperson, Fatma Mohajrani, called on international organizations to take an active part in guaranteeing the rights of Iranians, saying that the attacks on the country during two wars imposed by the US and Israel amount to acts of terrorism and not to conventional military operations. Speaking at a gathering on Saturday on the topic of protecting the right to education through family-school cooperation, Mohajerani said that Iran had been attacked twice while the negotiations were underway.
She recalled that on the morning of June 13, while the Israeli planes were taking off, the American President announced that he had instructed his administration to continue negotiations with Iran at full strength. Iran did not seek war, she said, adding that it was imposed on the country and that Iran was defending itself.
Mohajrani also told about her visit to the city of Minab, following the attack on the Shejara Taiba school. She described the grief of families who lost their loved ones, including a teacher whose husband was left to take care of the one and a half year old twins.
According to her, teachers, school staff and families worked to continue education despite the damage. While formal education suffered during the wars, she said, lessons in humanity, solidarity and resilience continued.
Mohjarni cited the death of an 11-year-old girl in Yazd, central Iran, from cardiac arrest during a seizure, and said Iran would seek compensation for any life lost and injury.
She added that online education cannot fully replace in-person learning, especially in skills-based secondary education.
