US threats against Iran's nuclear facilities reflect Washington's growing desperation: Head of AEOI Moscow, Irana -. The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami, emphasized that Washington's continued threats to Iran's nuclear sites reflect its growing desperation. Speaking to Russia Today (RT) on Thursday, Aslami said, "The fact that the US president is constantly threatening to attack Cookies, and has previously threatened other places in different ways, is a clear sign of their desperation."

Elsewhere in his remarks, Aslami criticized the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Raphael Grossi, saying that he had become an "obedient agent" of Iran's opponents by providing them with information about the country's nuclear program.

According to him, such actions amount to abuse of the authority entrusted to international institutions and cast doubt on their credibility, while exposing serious weaknesses in the United Nations Treaty and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

The head of the AEOI strongly condemned the double standards of the IAEA Director General, saying: "These double standards have become so obvious that they are now practiced openly."

In response to the question of whether Iran will withdraw from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), Aslami said that the issue requires a high-level strategic decision that falls under the sovereign authority of the country.

He added, "However, what is important is that our country makes its decisions within a broader strategic framework based on considerations of national security and national interests."
