The Revolutionary Guards vow an effective and unlimited response to any aggression by Tehran, IRNA -. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned that any new attack by the US and Israel on Iran would be met with a broad and effective response, dismissing threats and psychological warfare against the country as baseless. In a statement issued Tuesday to mark Iran's National Day of Fighting Arrogance, the Revolutionary Guards said that threats and psychological warfare of this kind reflect the failure of the two wars of aggression launched by the United States and Israel against Iran.
He referred to a recent meeting between the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Mujtaba Khamenei, and senior Iranian military commanders, during which the leader ordered the Iranian armed forces to respond quickly and without geographical limitations to any new act of aggression against the country.
The Revolutionary Guards announced that they had updated their rival target bank to include Israel's "tangible and intangible assets within range," adding that the force would provide "an immediate and effective response without geographic limitations to threats of any level or type."
"The armed forces and the Iranian nation will determine when and under what circumstances Israel's attacks will end," it said.
The statement echoes recent statements by senior Iranian officials who warned that any new act of aggression against Iran would trigger a response that would extend beyond US military bases and assets in the region, unlike the 39-day US-Israeli aggression that ended with a ceasefire in mid-April.
Iran has said it is ready to end the conflict with the US peacefully if Washington accepts Tehran's terms, including a permanent end to aggression on all fronts and the lifting of illegal sanctions against the country.
