Iran's Sgt. Abdullahi establishes five principles for lasting security in West Asia Tehran, Iran -. The Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces, Major General Ali Abdulahi, outlined five principles for peace and security in West Asia, including ending conflicts, easing sanctions and new regional security arrangements. Abdulhi made the announcement on November 4, the National Day Against Global Arrogance. He cited the exile of Imam Khomeinis from 1964, the murder of the students in 1978 and the takeover of the US embassy (the espionage shield) in 1979.
Abdullahi said US hostility has continued since the 1953 coup, citing support for former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein during Iraq's eight-year invasion of Iran, backing of anti-Iranian groups, assassinations of nuclear scientists, sanctions, the killing of Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, during and alongside the US regime. 40-day wars in 2025 and 2026.
According to him, these conflicts led to the death of the leader of the Islamic Revolution, commanders, fighters and civilians, including children.
He added that Iran has moved from defense and crisis management towards shaping a regional order. Military force, he noted, is a means, not an end, and Iran was not seeking war.
The five principles are: cessation of hostilities on all fronts, especially in Lebanon and Gaza; the lifting of sanctions and the release of frozen Iranian assets; compensation for wars imposed; Recognition of Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and the replacement of the US security umbrella with the Hormuz Mechanism; and guarantees against renewed aggression, along with regional security arrangements.
Abdulahi stressed that Iran's armed forces are ready to respond immediately to any threat.
