The Iranian envoy scoffs at European concerns about the economic impact of US-Israeli aggression London -. Iran's ambassador to Germany criticized Western governments for their silence on the American-Israeli military aggression against Iran, saying that they are now expressing concern about the economic consequences of that aggression on their countries. Majid Neely said the words in a message published on Sunday, in which he aimed at countries that failed to condemn the military attack in Iran, but are now worried about its economic consequences.

"Those who yesterday welcomed the aggression of the US and Israel regime against Iran through their silence or their irresponsible positions, are today worried about the economic consequences of the aggression on their countries," Neely said, according to the Persian translation of his message.

Referring to a German proverb, he added: "Do not praise the day before the evening", meaning "Do not praise the day before the evening".

Nilis' words come as the economic consequences of the American-Israeli aggression against Iran, especially in the energy markets, are putting increasing pressure on the European economies.

According to Germany's Federal Statistical Office, energy prices in the country rose by 12.2% in October compared to the same month last year.

Eurostat data showed eurozone inflation climbed to 3.8% in September, while energy prices jumped 18.9% year-on-year, making energy the biggest contributor to the bloc's annual inflation.

Meanwhile, Euronews reported that the price of European natural gas exceeded 100 euros per megawatt-hour for the first time since 2022, compared to about 32 euros before the American-Israeli military aggression against Iran.
