Iran will not abandon its seven conditions for dealing with the US, the envoy said.
Tehran, Irena. Iran will not back down from its seven conditions for an agreement with the United States, including an end to all wars in the region, Egypt's ambassador, Mojtaba Fardosifor, said on Saturday, stressing that Tehran does not trust Washington.
In an interview with Al Mayadin, Ferdowsipour said that messages between Tehran and Washington are now being exchanged through the mediation of Qatar, but no direct or indirect negotiations have taken place, with contacts being limited to consultations between Iran and Qatar.
He rejected US claims that Tehran had changed its position, saying that Iran remained committed to the conditions it had previously set for the agreement.
Referring to the message recently given by the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Mujtaba Hosseini Khamenei, to senior military commanders in Iran, Perdusipur said that it was addressed mainly to the United States and Israel, and then to the neighboring countries.
The ambassador also addressed the regional concerns in Cairo regarding the possibility of US President Donald Trump ordering a large-scale military attack ahead of the mid-term elections for the US Congress, and warned that such a move could affect the entire region.
He emphasized that Iran is very prepared militarily and will have new surprises in case of another war.
