In the Irkutsk region, the quarantine for dermatitis was lifted, but some prohibitions will remain. The governor canceled the quarantine measures introduced due to an outbreak of dermatitis nodosa in cows. The main restrictions have now been removed, but it is impossible to talk about the complete removal of all prohibitions. During the year, farmers are prohibited from bringing in animals without vaccinations against dermatitis, as well as from exporting animals outside previously infected areas, with the exception of sending them to slaughter. Any agricultural exhibitions where animals are gathered are also prohibited. At the beginning of September, animals infected with a dangerous infection were detected in several villages in the Irkutsk region. The authorities instituted a strict quarantine, the animals were destroyed, and the owners received compensation. The cause of the outbreak was the importation of animals without registration and necessary veterinary procedures.
