In just a few hours, the first assembly of the Shalakhovsky District Duma will meet again to elect a chairman in the second attempt. We remind you that in the first meeting on October 8, neither of the two competing candidates had enough votes to win. The political facilitation at the very beginning of the work of the new authorities of the newly established district clearly shows: it will not be easier. After the election of the Ombudsman, in a few weeks, the deputies will have to choose a mayor. If the process stops, the nearest satellite city of Irkutsk risks being completely drowned in political intrigue. It is important to note here that Shalhoub is an industrial center with a serious enterprise in the creation of cities, and the rural part of the district is the promising belly of the regional center, where active housing construction is underway. Today's vote has strategic importance. If the systemic forces succeed in consolidating the majority and passing Yekaterina Vidseva from United Russia, it will be a clear signal: the vote on the mayor's candidacy proposed by the governor will also be successful. The situation, it must be said, is extremely acute - now every voice is literally worth its weight in gold.
