The police in the city of Taber began to receive reports of thefts of foreign cars from the beginning of winter last year. As a result of operational search activity, my colleagues from the Main Directorate for Criminal Investigations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, together with operatives from the Tver region, arrested two men on suspicion of committing crimes. Currently, the circumstances of three episodes of their illegal activity have been clarified. During searches of the residences of the detainees, in addition to a whole arsenal of special means for car thefts, cartridges for firearms were discovered and sent for testing. The investigator initiated criminal cases, which were later consolidated into one procedure. The suspect was selected as a preventive measure in the form of arrest.
