Ehsan Daneshvar, an expert on environmental quality and energy, referring to the flood damage in various areas of Iran, said that flooding is a natural and expected phenomenon, but repeated surprises against it indicate the weakness of the infrastructure and the management of flood risks.
Criticizing the construction on the rivers, the destruction of the vegetation and the neglect of digging the canals, he emphasized that instead of scientific management of the water resources, the Islamic Republic trapped the country in a cycle of crisis.
