The President of Israel, Yitzhak Herzog, announced on the evening of Saturday, November 7 that he would hand over the task of forming the government to Gadi Eisenkot, head of the Ishr Party. He previously said that despite the support of factions with a total of 67 Eisenkot clothing mandates to form the government, it is still unclear who has the ability to form the government.
Herzog said that factions with a total of 46 mandates proposed Benjamin Netanyahu. In his speech on Saturday about the possibility of Arab parties supporting Eisenkot, Netanyahu said that there are those who plan to form a government with the participation of "supporters of terrorism" and added that a government that depends on supporters of Hamas and Islamists will not fight them and will not remove the threat of the Islamic Republic.
