In a statement, the Qatari government's international media office denied reports of the failure of negotiations for an agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic, saying that those benefiting from continued war and instability in the region deliberately distorted the statements of the Qatari prime minister to undermine diplomatic efforts.
The statement noted that Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister announced on Friday that the two sides are still working to reach an agreement, and emphasized that the Qatari mediators are still in close coordination with the United States and the Iranian government to support the ongoing negotiations.
