Kation Najafizadeh, head of the Iranian Organ Donation Association, announced that last year 130 children died on the waiting list of Rajai Hospital due to the lack of a heart transplant, while only 30 children's heart transplants were performed in this hospital.
Najafizde said that the number of brain deaths in the country has not decreased, but the use of transplantable organs from people with brain death is still not positive and less than expected.
