The Interfax news agency quoted Dmitri Peskov, Kremlin Palace spokesman, who reported that Vladimir Putin met with Mohsen Razai, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, who traveled to Moscow, at the Presidential Palace.
Iranian media reported earlier that Putin and Razai had a telephone conversation on November 2 about the situation in the region and the world, focusing on West Asia.
The Kremlin spokesman added that Putin and Razai emphasized the necessity to continue the strategic partnership between Russia and Iran based on the action plan drawn up by the top leaders of the two countries.
