Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the UN, denied in an interview with I24 news that Israel was responsible for starting the war with the Islamic Republic and raising energy prices in the US, and said that Washington independently decided to wage war against the Islamic Republic.
In response to the statements of J. Dee Vance, the vice president of the United States, about the effect of the war against the Islamic Republic on the defeat of the Republicans in the mid-term elections, Danon said: "Washington independently decided to attack Iran, even though Israel supported this operation."
"It is always very easy to blame Israel for everything, but that is not the case," he added.
In response to a question about the possibility of US President Donald Trump reaching an agreement with Tehran that would not meet Israel's security requirements, the Israeli ambassador emphasized: "We will always do whatever is necessary to protect ourselves."
