Alireza Nourizadeh, director of the Iranian and Arab Research Center, said that despite the defeat of the Republicans in the US congressional elections, the Islamic Republic does not show any sign of willingness to compromise. He added that based on the information he received, plans were proposed to attack sensitive targets in the Persian Gulf countries and Israel. Nourizadeh warned that targeting the leaders of Arab countries could lead to a large-scale war in the region. According to him, the Persian Gulf countries are strengthening their security cooperation with European countries and Turkey, and the continuation of Tehran's threats may increase the pressure on the United States for military action.
