Daniel Iozzi, one of the survivors of the massacre in January, told the press conference of the European Parliament how he was injured during the suppression of the protests and said: "When I tried to help an injured person, they shot me with a bullet." According to him, after he was transferred to the hospital, the forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran approached the hospital to arrest or kill him, but the hospital staff helped him escape. He added: "Tens of thousands of my countrymen were not as lucky as I was. "The Islamic Republic massacred people just because they wanted freedom." In the end, he asked the international community to stand by the people of Iran and emphasized: "We will not give up until Iran is free."
