Eight flights in different European countries, including three flights from Great Britain, were the target of possible bomb threats in the last day, and some had to make emergency landings. On Tuesday, November 4, two Ryanair planes from Lisbon in Portugal and Dublin in Ireland were inspected after landing in Rome, the capital of Italy. The flight in Dublin was escorted by the Italian Air Force until landing. On the same day, two more planes were searched, including a flight from London's Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom, after they landed in the Polish capital, Warsaw. Also, a Ryanair flight from Manchester in the UK to Murcia in Spain landed as planned after receiving a written threat. The Spanish authorities announced that no explosives were found during the inspection of this plane. Two other flights from Italy and Ireland to Bulgaria were also checked after receiving threats. On Monday, a plane from London Luton Airport to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, was forced to make an emergency landing in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, following a possible bomb threat.
