The Harana news agency reported on Monday, November 2 that two women arrested in connection with the January protests were each sentenced to 22 years in prison on charges of "espionage" by the Revolutionary Court in Tehran. Both of these women are currently being held in Karcak Prison in Varamin.
According to this report, these two women are filed together with Amirza Razai, Wahid Grahami and Mehdi Jalali, a cleric and former member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
These three men were also sentenced to death in connection with the January protests.
Mehdi Jalali also received a death sentence in a separate case on the charge of "heresy".
