According to Harana, the Fifth Branch of the Revolutionary Court in Mashhad, headed by Hossein Yazdanka, sentenced to death three people arrested during the Iranian National Revolution in January 1404 in a joint case on the charge of standing. Matin Farnian, 23 years old and from Shahid, is one of the accused in this case. Pega Benihashemi, a legal researcher, said: "Since its inception, the Islamic Republic has used accusations of war and corruption against political activists and critics." He emphasized that many of these cases do not even correspond to the legal definitions of these charges, and the granting of death sentences and the possibility of changing the charges exert severe mental pressure on the detainees and their families.
