Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced that it has repaid $6 billion of the 6.3 billion assets stolen from its platform after a cyber attack on the exchange, using the company's funds to purchase replacement tokens. The balance, now less than 10%, includes assets with lower liquidity that may take longer to supply as needed, according to Binance.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation, the FBI, announced on Saturday that the unit supported by the North Korean government, known as the "Trader Traitor", was responsible for this attack.
