Shahab Zahedi was sentenced to death for the first time in Bahman 1404, but the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic later overturned this sentence. In the same case, four other civilians were executed, namely Mohammad Amin Bigleri, Shahin and Dafarst, Amir Hossein Hatami and Ali Fahim, and now Father Zahadi is again in danger of execution.
