Mohsen Razai, secretary of the Islamic Republic's Supreme National Security Council, said of the four-way meeting with officials from Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan that these countries had requested a trip to Tehran. He added that the Makkah-Yemen agreement was not discussed at this meeting, and the future security arrangements of the region were discussed. Razai added: "They spoke decisively against Israel, and Mr. Khaled, the Saudi defense minister, said that Israel would go to Turkey after Iran and then to Saudi Arabia."
