Reports indicate that a Chinese company, despite receiving Iranian oil, failed to fulfill its multi-billion dollar obligations to supply goods and services. The CEO of Iran Air also stated that despite the commitment to supply 55 airplanes, the company delivered only two worn-out aircraft at several times the market rate. Economic and energy journalist Ata Hosseinian said that the simultaneous publication of reports on oil trusts and violations by Chinese companies may be part of a deliberate process. Referring to the estimate of 11 to 23 billion dollars in Iran's oil discounts to China, he emphasized that the true dimensions of these transactions and the role of decision-makers in handing over oil resources are still unclear.
