The Foreign Minister of Lebanon, Youssef Reji, declared his country's solidarity with Bahrain and the other Persian Gulf countries against the attacks of the Islamic Republic and its representative groups at the dialogue meeting in Manama, and emphasized that no country has the right to use armed groups outside the control of governments to advance their regional goals. Reji said: "Our solidarity with the countries of the Persian Gulf is not only a diplomatic position, but stems from the understanding of common threats against the security and stability of our countries." While describing the conditions of the Middle East as a fateful choice, he said that the region will remain involved in wars and foreign interventions or create a new order based on the sovereignty of states, cooperation and common security. According to him, "the Middle East is facing a fateful choice; "either it remains immersed in conflicts, foreign interventions and competition for the expansion of influence, or it creates a new regional order based on national sovereignty, cooperation and common security".
