Ali Muthari, the deputy speaker of the 10th Parliament, criticized the opponents of negotiations with the United States and said that in their last meeting, Ali Larijani emphasized the necessity of negotiations even in war conditions and believed that negotiations in times of war could have better results. In an interview with the Ilana news agency, Muthari said: "In the last meeting I had with Ali Larijani, they issued a statement that showed that they believe that negotiations should be conducted even in conditions of war." He added: "From their point of view, negotiations during the war could lead to a better result, and they themselves followed the same approach." The former vice chairman of the Islamic Republic of Iran also criticized the opponents of negotiations, saying that people who reject negotiations in general should explain what they see as an alternative solution. Muthari emphasized that simply opposing the actions of others without providing arguments and solutions is not the right approach and those who oppose negotiations in general are actually sacrificing the interests of the state.
