The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, October 31, that according to the Pentagon's estimate, the Islamic Republic's missile and drone attacks on US military bases in the Middle East caused at least five billion dollars in damage, and this figure may reach $15 billion. This newspaper identified the effects of the destruction in 274 buildings located at 24 military installations in the region by examining satellite images, statements by US officials and reports related to the Iranian attacks. According to the Wall Street Journal, the cost of rebuilding the damaged facilities alone could exceed four billion dollars. According to this report, the American bases in Kuwait and Bahrain were among the facilities that were heavily damaged in the early stages of the war. In addition, in an attack by Iran on July 17 on the Muafaq al-Sulti air base in Jordan, three American soldiers were killed and at least 19 buildings were damaged. The Wall Street Journal wrote that the Pentagon released limited information on the extent of the damage to the bases. This newspaper emphasized that the analysis of the satellite images may not show all the damage and some of the buildings identified are in shared facilities with the host countries.
