On Thursday evening, Inter and Milan clubs unveiled the design of their new 71,500-seat stadium called the "Estadio Generali". According to ESPN, Inter and Milan have signed a 20-year contract worth 650 million euros with the Italian insurance company Generali for the right to name their new stadium. Generali Stadium is scheduled to open in 2031. The two clubs announced in a statement that this contract is "one of the largest stadium naming rights contracts in world sports." The agreement with Generali was announced at a ceremony during which the design photos of the new stadium were also revealed. The project is launched under the guidance of the owners of the two clubs; Redbird Capital Partners, owner of Milan, and Octari, owner of Inter. The design of the stadium is the result of the collaboration between Norman Foster and David Manica; These two architects previously collaborated on the design of Wembley Stadium in London. This project will now enter the design and planning phase. Construction operations are expected to begin in 2028, and if the necessary approvals are received, the first race will be held there in the 2031-32 season.
