At the meeting of the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, the representative of Israel demanded a comprehensive review of the dimensions of the killings, executions, arbitrary arrests and threats to the families of the victims in Iran.
Referring to the findings presented at this meeting on the commission of crimes against humanity by the authorities of the Islamic Republic, he said on Wednesday, November 6, "There are still serious questions about the full reflection of the dimensions and severity of human rights violations in the published reports."
The representative of Israel also called the Islamic Republic a cause of instability in the Middle East and "supports groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis" and accused it of "financial support, weapons and training for these groups".
He added that instead of paying attention to the rights and well-being of the Iranian people, the Islamic Republic prioritized the development of the military nuclear program and an arsenal of ballistic missiles and supporting proxy groups.
Referring to the protests in Iran, the representative of Israel said that the courage of the protesters to achieve a better future requires the attention and action of the United Nations.
