Axios, citing three American, Israeli and regional sources, reported that Qatar, with the support of several regional countries, is trying to renew negotiations by reaching an agreement between Washington and Tehran and prevent the renewal of war after the US midterm elections.
According to this report, Qatar is trying to convince the Islamic Republic to allow inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit Iran's bombed nuclear facilities in exchange for a partial reduction of American sanctions.
Axios wrote that if diplomatic efforts fail, there is the possibility of a new round of US-Israeli attacks shortly after the midterm elections. According to American and Israeli officials, the possible operation could include a week of widespread attacks on the leaders of the Islamic Republic and Iran's energy, nuclear and infrastructure targets.
