The United Students Channel reported that Ali Alirzai, a mathematics student at the Sharif University of Technology, was sentenced to a year in prison. The Central Council of the Ministry of Science ordered the expulsion of this student from the university and he is forbidden to study in all universities for five years.
According to this report, Alirzai was previously sentenced to three years in prison on July 14, 1405 by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran on the charge of "gathering and conspiracy with the intention of acting against the security of the state" and on the charge of "propaganda activity against the regime" for one year in prison.
This student's preliminary ruling also mentioned his cell phone recording.
United Students also reported that in addition to the court case, Alirzai faces a disciplinary order of expulsion from the university and exclusion from education.
