The wording of the verdict states that Branch 26 of the Court of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran sentenced Sohail Arabi to five years in prison, including the previous period of detention, in a document dated August 16, 1405.

This sentence was confirmed after his appeal. A two-year ban on working in a job or in a profession related to activity on social networks is also considered as an additional punishment for him. In explaining the reasons for its decision, the Court of Appeals referred to the report of the intelligence organization of the Revolutionary Guards in Tehran and claimed that Arabs have connections with "financial networks abroad", supported "enemy elements and security prisoners" and encouraged people to "subversive actions". The verdict also mentions Arabi's previous accusations and it is written that he was convicted and exiled to Barjan in another case. Arabi was arrested in March 1404 and released from Kazal-Hasar prison in the spring of 1405.
