Mohsen Rastani, a well-known documentary photographer and socialite of Iran, died on Sunday, November 3, at the age of 68.

Mohsen Rastani, a well-known documentary photographer and socialite of Iran, died on Sunday, November 3, at the age of 68.

Rastani, who has been living in Germany for the past few years, returned to Iran this August to continue treatment.

Mohsen Rastani was born in Hormshahr in 1337 and after studying photography at the University of Tehran, he began his professional career at the same time as the start of the Iran-Iraq war.

In the first years of his career, he collaborated with the IRNA news agency and photographed the wars in Bosnia and Armenia in addition to the Iran-Iraq war.
