Mohammad Mohsen Sadr, Deputy Minister of Communications, said at his press conference on Sunday, November 3: "Despite the progress made, the national information network alone does not meet all the needs of the country, and this network also needs international Internet." Sader added: "This network has been able to provide some of the services people need, but the national information network and the Internet must work together." The Deputy Minister of Communications continued: "Many of the daily and research activities in the country require access to the Internet, and the development of the national information network does not mean denying the necessity of the Internet." He also announced the increase in cyber attacks on the country's various portals in the last two or three days and announced that despite the high number of these attacks, a significant portion of them were repelled. The head of the Information Technology Organization, referring to the increase in cyber attacks in the context of heightened security tensions, asked the government authorities to take the security warnings seriously.
