The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, praised Donald Trump's approach in dealing with the Islamic Republic and Iran's nuclear case and said: "The president wakes up every day with one priority, and that is the security of the country and its future." Criticizing the performance of previous American administrations, he emphasized: "It was very easy for him to do what many presidents did before him; he said to ignore the issue of Iran, leave it to the next person, put it aside and don't worry about it, but this president didn't do that and confront it." Pointing to the nature of Tehran's threats, Rubio added: "What Iran wants is not only the destruction of our country, but the destruction of our way of life and the threat of our children." We cannot live in a world where the most radical and terrorist regime on earth acquires weapons of mass destruction; "President after president has ignored this threat and allowed it to continue, but this president was not elected to ignore the dangers."
