A spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Council, citing a story from one of the former ambassadors of the Islamic Republic to the United Nations, said that Joe Biden, when he was a senator, said in a meeting with this ambassador that Democrats and Republicans do not disagree about "the disappearance of the Islamic Republic, and this is the way to get there."
Without mentioning the ambassador's name, he claimed that Biden said at the same meeting: "We and the Republicans have no doubt about your disappearance, but the way we have Democrats is different than the way Republicans have it." The spokesman for the Parliament's National Security Commission concluded that in his opinion the difference between the two American parties "is in method, not strategy."
He also claimed that before the American elections, some intermediaries passed on a message from Jay. Dee Vance, Vice President of the United States, to the authorities of the Islamic Republic, showing that Vance wants to reach a solution through dialogue. He described this issue as Vance's "signal" to the Islamic Republic and said he was publishing it for the first time.
