The Ministry of Defense of Qatar, on Friday, announced in a statement that Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar and Minister of Defense for Qatari Affairs, had a telephone conversation today with Pete Heggest, Secretary of Defense of the United States. In this statement it was said that during the phone call both sides discussed common issues and ways to strengthen and develop it.
