On Friday, the Ministry of International Communications of the Government of Qatar issued a statement in response to reports published on social media about the country's prime minister's remarks about the "failure of US and Iranian efforts to reach an agreement", calling these reports "totally false and misleading" and declaring: "The statements of the prime minister are statements of the target of the war and the parties benefiting from the target of the war and our goal. Distortion and several fake accounts published these claims in order to thwart diplomatic efforts and move towards creating more tension." Further to this statement, emphasizing that the Prime Minister of Qatar clearly stated that "the two sides continue to cooperate and try to reach an agreement", it was said that "Qatar's mediation in close coordination with the US and Iran to support the ongoing negotiations continues".
